ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

The New Jersey Small Business Development Center at Rutgers-Newark is the premier provider of strategic, growth focused business training and technical assistance services to established small businesses and start-up entrepreneurs. With the Center’s motto to offer the “Right Strategy, Smart Growth, Infinite Possibilities” supports our mission to help entrepreneurs and business owners start and grow sustainable, successful small business through the delivery of appropriate training and technical assistance services and programs.

BIO

Dr. Tendai Ndoro has a PhD in Public Administration and is contracted as Regional Director for the NJSBDC at Rutgers University-Newark/Rutgers Business School & NJSBDC statewide network. She is also CEO to 3 global businesses. She has over 30 years of strategic management, public administration; community & economic development experience with expertise in Strategic Planning & Management, Performance Management/Measurements, Organization Development; Operations Management; Program Design; Development; Implementation; Monitoring & Evaluation; Public & Private Sector Development; Training and Research; As Regional Director. 

Dr. Ndoro has received numerous awards for her leadership and work as a global economic development expert and business woman which include: The 2014 Americas’ Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) National State Star Award, 2013 Top Women in Power Impacting Diversity; 2012 NJ Garden State Woman of the Year – Global Impact Award, & the Minority Enterprise Advocate’s 50 Women of Power in Business. In 2011 she received the WEN Business Award for promoting women. In 2010 she received the US Commercial Services International Trade Award for promoting international trade in the City of Newark, NJ.

Dr. Ndoro is also a trained Baldrige Examiner, an External Board member for the RWJ Barnabas Social Impact & Community Investment (SICI) Advisory Board, as well as Board Trustee with Community Access Unlimited (CAU) and Chair of the NJSBDC at Rutgers University-Newark board.
